DRILL DRILL DRILL Fleet Management Limited, the manager of the storage tanker VS87 (IMO 9256999), reports a ruptured hull breach owing to a collision between two vessels partaking in ship-to-ship cargo transfer operations at Khor Al Zubair, Iraq, at approximately 1000 LT on 16 October 2024. The impact also resulted in the dislodging of an IG line dresser coupling near 5C Crude Oil Tank (COT) resulting in the release of toxic vapours onto the deck. There is no evidence of an oil spill at this moment in time from either ship. A sounding of all tanks (cargo tanks/ballast tanks/void space/FO Tanks/DO tanks/Lube oil tanks) was undertaken, and all were found intact. One crew member sustained an injury and is receiving medical care. The family of the crew have been informed and are being provided with regular updates. Emergency procedures were immediately initiated on board. All the relevant authorities are responding, and all actions have been taken to contain the pollution.
