Fleet Management Limited has been awarded the CAPEC Class A supervision certificate in recognition of its outstanding marine plant engineering supervision programmes. The company becomes just the eighth recipient of the certificate, and the first international company from outside mainland China.

The Class A supervision certificate illustrates the depth of engineering expertise Fleet deploys on behalf of its clients. The newbuilding team covers all aspects of building supervision, from initial planning to final delivery as well as tailored technical consultancy to maximise the value of clients’ assets.

The certificate was awarded at a recent meeting between Fleet Management’s Newbuilding team and the China Association of Plant Engineering Consultants (CAPEC) to deepen cooperation and foster growth and development in China’s plant engineering industry.

The Fleet delegation – led by Kelly Huang, General Manager of Fleet’s Newbuilding team and supported by Senior Manager Ankush Kumar and Technical Manager Yonglong Zhu – met with CAPEC General Secretary Qiang Li and Director Yeqiang Yao. Aside from awarding the certificate, the agenda featured a range of topics including how the two parties might work together to broaden CAPEC’s engagement with the marine plant engineering sector in Hong Kong and internationally. For its part, Fleet will work with the team at CAPEC to leverage its global reach to help the organisation achieve its goals through resource sharing, deeper cooperation and joint promotion of common industry standards.

Fleet Management’s Newbuilding practice has delivered more than 300 vessels to date, with a significant footprint constructed in China’s shipyards. The team’s deep industry expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence mean that vessels are not only built to meet today’s standards but are also prepared to perform reliably and sustainably for years to come.
