Dr Kishore Rajvanshy 

Managing Director, Fleet Management Limited

Dr Kishore Rajvanshy has served as Managing Director of Fleet Management since its establishment in 1994. Since its inception, Dr Rajvanshy has guided the company through significant growth and overseen the technical management of our global fleet of vessels, commercial operations and workforce, and seafarers’ welfare.

Before founding Fleet Management, Dr Rajvanshy began his maritime career at the Shipping Corporation of India, where he rose to the rank of Chief Engineer. He transitioned ashore in 1978 as a Superintendent and later joined Univan Ship Management in 1979, where he spent 15 years in senior roles, including Director and General Manager. His academic background includes a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), where he was honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2020.

Dr Rajvanshy’s contributions to the maritime industry have earned him several prestigious awards. In 2019, he received Lifetime Achievement Awards from both the International Bulk Journal and Seatrade Asia. The previous year, in 2018, he was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award from Tanker Shipping and Trade. His recognition continued in 2017, when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Lloyd’s List Asia Pacific and the Eminent Overseas Maritime Personality Award from the Government of India.

In addition to his role at Fleet Management, Dr Rajvanshy serves on several esteemed boards and committees, including BIMCO and the West of England P&I Club. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr Rajvanshy is an avid reader.

Dr Rajvanshy will transition to the role of Managing Director Emeritus from 1 January, 2025.

As Managing Director Emeritus, Dr Rajvanshy will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and provide strategic insight, ensuring that the highest standards of operational excellence in fleet management are consistently maintained.
