Gaurav Rajora is the Director of Insurance for Fleet, responsible for risk management, compliance, and multi-line insurance portfolios. He joined Fleet as a Master Mariner in 2006 and became a Superintendent in the Insurance department in 2007. Gaurav oversees corporate, commercial, and operational risk management, driving insurance business strategy and managing client relations. He leads a team that manages underwriting portfolio risks for shipowners and ship managers. With 30 years of experience in the shipping industry, Gaurav's seagoing career included time on tankers, VLCC, and LPG vessels. He has extensive experience in dry-dockings and shipbuilding and served in senior management positions as Chief Officer and Master.

Gaurav holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Laws in English and Hong Kong Law with first-class honours. He has experience in insurance, corporate, litigation, regulatory, and criminal law. His professional associations include membership in the Insurance and Liability Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Ship Owners Association, the BIMCO subcommittee for the revision of SHIPMAN and FuelEU Maritime Clause, and the Insurance and Legal Committee of INTERTANKO. In his free time, Gaurav is an avid photographer.
